Pick one of a few popular houseplants, then your city, pot and light. No account, no email. This runs the real engine on live climate data, so the answer is the one you’d get inside the app.
It’s not you
You followed the reminders — water every Sunday — and still ended up with a crispy monstera and a shelf of empty pots you can’t quite throw out. Somewhere around the third fern, you started saying it out loud: “Maybe I just don’t have a green thumb.”
But “every 7 days” was never real care. The same pothos drinks far more in a July heatwave than in a dark, radiator-dry January — and a fixed timer can’t know that. Plants don’t run on timers. They run on seasons, cities, pots, and light.
Ploomily starts with your plant’s setup, then explains the interval. You check the plant and its soil before you act.
Three steps to calm
Your first Living Schedule appears as soon as you add your first plant.
Snap a photo to identify the species, or search 200 in-depth guides in the library. Tell us the room, the pot, and the light.
Watering computed from your city's climate and the season, plus each plant's pot, drainage, and light — and feeding tuned to that same pot, drainage and light, following the growing season and pausing while the plant rests (winter for most). The why is spelled out under every date.
On days something's due — only those days — one email arrives, with Done buttons that work without logging in. Tap it and move on. Every watering you log teaches your watering schedule your home.
Everything your plants need
A fixed timer gives a monstera in a São Paulo spring and a monstera in a New York winter the same “every 7 days.” The Living Schedule doesn’t. It rebuilds each watering interval from your city’s climate, the season, the pot’s size and drainage, and the room’s light — then explains itself in plain words: “Water every ~11 days — it’s spring in São Paulo, and we factored in no drainage hole.” Feeding follows the growing season, eases off in autumn and pauses while the plant rests — winter for most. And when you log what you actually did, it proposes adjustments. Your schedule gets more yours every week.
Point your camera and get the species — plus a full care plan the moment it’s identified.
Point your camera at a spot to estimate its light band and explore plants that may suit it.
Ask Ploomily knows your actual jungle — its rooms and its real schedules, already adjusted for your light, pot and city — so the answer fits your monstera in your living room, not a generic one.
Log a photo anytime and build a timeline for every plant. New leaves, repottings, comebacks — all in one place.
Snap a photo for a health diagnosis, then follow one of 20 step-by-step rescue protocols — overwatering, root rot, pests, sunburn — each with a dated recovery plan.
Turn on vacation mode and share a sitter link — a friend sees what’s due and logs care without an account. No plant knowledge required.
On days something’s due, one email lists it — with Done buttons that work right from your inbox, no login needed. No chores due, no chore email.
US$29.99 for the year, every feature, up to 25 plants. 30 days after a charge to change your mind.
The un-fine-print
Ploomily runs on radical trust. So here’s every promise, in plain language — no asterisks, no “*terms may apply.”
That’s the whole policy. If any of it ever feels harder than it should, email hello@ploomily.com and we’ll fix it.
One annual plan. Up to 25 plants.
US$29.99 a year — about US$2.50 a month, billed annually.
Thirty days is a full month of real schedules, in your home, through your weather. Long enough to know.
Paddle shows the exact amount before you confirm. Add your first plant and see its Living Schedule, reasoning included. For 30 days after the charge, you can request a full refund from inside the app, no reason required. Paddle may review a refund request before approving it. Access stays unchanged while approval is pending. An approved full refund ends the purchase it covers; if a request is declined, contact us for help.
Good questions
Ploomily is new, and there's no track record to show you yet — we won't invent one. What is real: the founding price is the lowest the annual will ever be, and whatever you join at stays your price for as long as you stay subscribed. And you have 30 days to request a full refund from your own account if it isn't for you. You're not buying our history. You're buying a schedule you can check against your own plants, in your own weather.
Most apps are a timer with a leaf icon — “every 7 days,” forever. Ploomily builds each watering interval from your city's climate, the season, the pot's size and drainage, and the room's light — then explains it in plain words, like “every ~11 days — it's spring, and this pot has no drainage hole.” Feeding follows the growing season and pauses while the plant rests — winter for most. And it learns: log your actual care, and it proposes adjustments to fit how your home really behaves.
The annual plan is US$29.99/year. You add your first plant and see its Living Schedule first, then join the annual plan: Paddle shows the charge before you confirm, and nothing is charged until you do. For 30 days after a charge you can request a refund from inside the app, no reason required. We email you 3 days before every renewal, with the amount and the date.
In one tap, inside the app — Settings → Billing → Cancel. No email, no support ticket, no phone call. Canceling stops future charges and you keep access to the end of the year you paid for.
Yes, and you don't have to ask us. Refunds are self-service for 30 days after a charge, right from your account — Paddle, our payment provider, processes it. Refunding cancels the subscription at the same time: the whole charge comes back, so the access it paid for stops rather than running on, and nothing renews later. That's the one way it differs from canceling, and we'd rather say it here than have you find out after the tap. Your plants, photos and history stay saved and exportable either way. Paddle may review a refund request before approving it. Access stays unchanged while approval is pending. An approved full refund ends the purchase it covers; if a request is declined, contact us for help.
Free apps remind you on a fixed schedule — which is how a lot of plants die. Ploomily's schedules adapt to your climate and season, and the plan includes photo ID and diagnosis, 20 rescue protocols, a light meter, Ask Ploomily, and sitter mode. Decide with your own plants: you have 30 days to change your mind, and you request a full refund from inside the app — no reason required.
Yes, and here they all are: up to 25 plants, 10 photo IDs and 10 photo health diagnoses a month, and 100 Ask Ploomily questions a month. The photo and question counts reset on the 1st. Ask Ploomily also has a burst guard — up to 8 messages a minute and 40 a day — so one runaway session can't spend the month. Everything else — the Living Schedule, all 20 rescue protocols, the 200 species guides, the light meter, digests, sitter mode, timelines and export — has no cap at all. If you ever hit one, the app says so plainly and tells you when it resets.
Snap a photo — plant ID identifies the species, and the library covers 200 common houseplants with full care guides and pet-toxicity flags compiled following the ASPCA's published toxic and non-toxic plant lists and Pet Poison Helpline's plant poison list. If yours is rarer, Ask Ploomily can still answer care questions grounded in your plant's actual setup — and if you'd like it in the library, email hello@ploomily.com and we'll consider it.
Nope. Ploomily runs in any browser — nothing to install, no app-store account. If you'd like an app-like icon, you can add it to your home screen from your browser's share menu, but it's completely optional.
Anytime, with one click: every plant and care log exports to a file you keep, with download links for your photos. Payments run through Paddle, our merchant of record, so we never see your card details. And the daily email only arrives on days something is actually due.
That's the whole point. Ploomily builds each watering interval from your city's climate and hemisphere, the season, each pot's size and drainage, and the room's light — watering tightens in a hot week and relaxes in a cold one, feeding eases off as the plant heads into its rest and pauses through it — autumn and winter for most, and every interval tells you its reasoning. It's not a fixed timer.
The season is already moving where you live — and the sooner Ploomily starts learning from your logs, the sooner your watering intervals fit your actual home. US$29.99/year, every feature, up to 25 plants, with 30 days after a charge to request a refund from inside the app.
