Is that plant safe for your cat or dog?
Check 200 common houseplants for cat and dog toxicity. Free, no account, no card. When a plant is on none of the lists we follow, we say we can’t tell you it’s safe rather than guessing — that happens for 50 of them, and unconfirmed is not the same as safe.
These are our own records, compiled by following the ASPCA's published toxic and non-toxic plant lists and Pet Poison Helpline's plant poison list rather than copied from either of them. Confirm anything that matters against the ASPCA’s own list, or with your vet.
Where this comes from: our own records for 200 common houseplants, compiled by following the ASPCA’s published toxic and non-toxic plant lists and Pet Poison Helpline’s plant poison list. They are not a copy of either database, and this library is not everything those lists hold — each card says which list its verdict is matched to, so confirm anything that matters against that list. This is educational and not a substitute for veterinary advice. If your pet has ingested a plant, contact your vet or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435.
